The Ohio Camera Collector's Society (OCCS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational group dedicated to preserving the history of photography. Founded in 1968, we stand as America's oldest organization dedicated to camera collecting and the preservation of photography history. For over five decades, we have celebrated the art, science, and heritage of photography through education, collection, and community.
Our society is powered by a group of passionate collectors who recognize the need to preserve the rapidly evolving history of photography. Our founding member Walter A. Johnson, now 92 years old, remains active in our organization, providing a living link to our origins and the early days of organized camera collecting in America.
With vendors coming from across the Midwest —and new faces joining us each year— you never quite know what surprises you'll uncover. While this show leans heavily toward analog gear, you'll also spot some digital and mirrorless equipment in the mix.
Among the analog offerings, expect a wide range of formats from 35mm all the way up to large format. Whether you're hunting for a classic student camera, a trusted workhorse, or a rare collector's gem, there's always something for every type of enthusiast.
Beyond camera bodies and lenses, our dealers also bring a variety of both modern and antique photographic accessories. Some things you might see include new and expired film, bags, tripods, lighting, books, and photographic memorabilia.
Absolutely! The OCCS is a non-profit educational group and love to spread the joy of cameras with others no matter where they are at in their photography journey. We are here to answer any questions you have about cameras and are more than happy to guide you in the right direction.
Yes. Feel free to bring any cameras or other equipment that you are looking to get rid of to the show. Our dealers will be happy to help you identify any unknown gear and will make offers on equipment they are interested in buying.
